So what is the Murray 200 Relay?

The Murray 200 Relay is a Marathon Race held between Berri and Morgan on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend. The race is in segements of about 70 kms each day. The teams race in TK2’s (2 person touring kayaks) with each pair in the team doing a stage of about 15 – 20 kms each day. This is great way to enjoy being part of a team and racing in one of the best marathon events in the SA calender.

Questions you may have.

Do I need to have my own kayak? – No, the club will arrange all kayaks for the teams in the Relay Race. If you decide to enter the Murray 200 or the Murray 100 (all these races are held together) the Club will help you organise a kayak if you do not have your own.

How much will it cost me? – at this stage we do not have the entry fee, however, in past years it has cost about $50.00 per person. NDCC will help with fundraising for this event.

Where will we stay? – There is free camping at the stopovers. Saturday night at Lyrup, Sunday night at Waikerie. Bring your own tent or find a spot in the NDCC tent.

How will we get there? – travel will be by private cars and the level of interest by NDCC will determine how bg our team will be. Keep an eye on this website for more information.
